## Overview

Token NomNom (also known as Token Sucker, TokenNomNom, Token Burner, Token Mayhem, Token Frenzy) is an open-source web arcade created by Mothilal-M that inverts traditional AI token optimization. Instead of minimizing API token usage, Token NomNom turns burned AI tokens into a competitive game score with in-app coins, achievement crests, and global rankings.

## Key Facts & Safeguards

- **Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)**: Users provide their own API keys. Token NomNom does not resell or charge markup on tokens; your provider bills you directly.
- **Strict Cryptography**: API keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and decrypted only in temporary server memory during outgoing provider requests. Keys are never saved to browser storage or returned to the client.
- **Zero Financial Value**: In-game coins are strictly an arcade score with zero cash or cryptocurrency value.
- **Unified Normalization**: Normalizes token counts (input, output, cached, reasoning) across all providers into an audited usage record.
- **Supported Providers**: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, Together AI, Cohere, xAI Grok, DeepSeek, and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints (including local Ollama, LM Studio, and vLLM).
- **Accidental Spend Protection**: Real-time preflight pricing estimates, configurable per-request token caps, daily request quotas, and estimated daily spend ceilings.
